Photo Gallery Hacked

May 10th, 2009

The Coopermine photo gallery that I used to display all the photos was hacked. That means someone for whatever reason, went into the website and deleted all the pictures. After talking to John Kelly, I am using this as an opportunity for change. I think I will pick a new template for the site and use a different photo album. While this will mean some more work on my part, the positive side is the site will look even better now. I will not be using Coopermine again!

Trail Maps

Current Trails at Main Camp

Current Trails at Main Camp

We have several “mapping of the trails” projects going on.  My husband, Greg, and I,  have plotted existing trails at camp using our GPS. Click on the images to view the pdf files. The map isn’t ready to be released to the public per se and Keith would need to approve of it before we did that. This is a current draft. Tod Kampschroeder mentioned it would be good to have a trail map in case folks wanted to bring horses onto the property and ride around. Feel free to email me with specific questions.

StokesCORE is doing a series of moutain bike trails. There are 2 phases of the project. First camp as a whole and second, trails on the Moores Springs side of property. Currently, I only have Tony’s map of how he would like the trails to be. The second phase is the Moores Springs only side of the camp, where they are currently making the old tobacco roads into mountain bike trails. This is part of a larger grant and more information will hopefully be coming soon. For up to date information please visit their Facebook group page – Moores Springs Trails.

Several bots crawl our site. Yahoo Slurp, Googlebot, MSNBot, Ask.com, MSNBot-media and several other random bots. This is good because it means we are listed on their search engine.

Some keyphrases that were searched include: ballroom camps nc, deaf camp maryland, sertoma camp, 2009 nc abc convention, camp sertoma north carolina, sertoma texas hold em, camp sertoma westfield nc, camp sertoma nc.

People from the Ukraine, Egypt, China, Romania, Russian Federation, Israel, Canada, Italy and Germany looked at our website. And of course, people from the US.
