Members of the Camp Sertoma Club of NC, VA & MD can get involved with Camp Sertoma in many ways!
The easiest way individuals can become involved is by joining the club and paying their membership dues. Because the Camp Sertoma Clubs is a “specialty club” within the Sertoma International organization, members are exempt from certain regional and district dues, which means that the majority of your club membership dues goes directly into the sponsorship fund.
Members can get involved in several ways, some ideas are listed here:
- Attend the Spring Work Weekend usually held in April at the Sertoma 4-H Educational Center (a.k.a “Camp Sertoma”). Help your fellow Sertomans and their friends/families get the facility ready for the summer youth programs.
- Volunteer at the Sertoma Deaf Camp, held the last week in June each summer.
- Participate in club fundraisers that will help to fund projects as listed elsewhere on this website.
- Attend club meetings, held only three times a year.
- Reward yourself for a job well done! Attend the fall Family Fun Weekend, where Sertomans and their families can enjoy the Camp Sertoma facility and the activities it offers.
