Fun Weekend September 17-19

August 14th, 2010

Have you made plans to attend fun weekend? Come and enjoy the relaxing environment and the fellowship with other Sertomans. It is also a great way to introduce new members to our multi-state sponsorship, Camp Sertoma of North Carolina. See the latest improvements that have been made to the camp property. And maybe even get into a little mischief along the way! I look forward to seeing you then.

Deaf Camp A Success!

August 14th, 2010

Ninety-two happy campers enjoyed a great week of fun, outdoor activities, crafts and visiting Hanging Rock State Park. Kudos go to summer program director Robert Banks and 4-H for planning an excellent program for the campers. A big thank you to Michael Hoffman for his six years of dedication and service as deaf camp program coordinator.

None of this would have been possible without the continued support of the Sertoma Clubs in North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland. Be on the lookout for pictures from camp and a video showing all the fun the campers enjoyed.

Walk4Hearing

November 14th, 2009

The NC Hearing Loss Association raised $34,136.00 in its first Walk4Hearing. This is wonderful for the first year of an event. The final tally for the Sertoma Clubs was $1455.00!! Thanks go out to everyone who supported this event. The amount we raised will be given to Camp Sertoma to give a camper a scholarship to deaf camp.
