You’re Invited to Fun Weekend at Camp Sertoma celebrating 31 years of partnership with N.C. 4-H September 14-16, 2012 at Sertoma 4-H Educational Center – Westfield, NC

Come and enjoy the relaxing environment and the fellowship with other Sertomans and friends as we observe the 30th anniversary year of our association with 4-H. Share your pictures of camps from way back and view the new improvements to the camp, including the newly renovated kitchen and ADA-compliant dining hall, and the new cabins. Bring the family (but leave the pets behind; sorry, pets are not allowed on state property.) And maybe think about bringing a club member from your hometown who hasn’t been exposed to Camp Sertoma yet or bring a prospective member. Here’s some activities to choose from depending upon the weather and river conditions:
Canoeing
Ropes Course
Hiking
Food, fun and games, and fellowship
Porch sitting (our favorite activity at Camp)

Bring your own towels, bed linens, snacks, sodas, and adult beverages. We’ll provide the meals starting with dinner on Friday and ending with breakfast on Sunday. We will have silent auctions, raffles, and games to raise money for camper scholarships and other needs. Bring an item to raffle or auction.

Please note the names of attendees; nights lodging is needed and whether you have a preference of a cabin or a room in Cheshire Hall (the “hotel”); and meals you plan to eat. We would like to have a head count no later than September 7th so the activities, meals, and lodging can be planned accordingly.

NOTE: The Sertoma Deaf Camp Committee and the Camp Sertoma Club of NC/VA/MD will meet at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, to maximize the amount of fun time we’ll have to enjoy on Saturday. Interested Sertomans and non- Sertomans are invited to attend the meeting.
